The author of this book has worked in the drug and alcohol addiction treatment field for over a decade as an administrator and consultant, and he is passionate about the intersection of substance abuse recovery and public policy. Most recently, he was a vocal participant in the movement against the legalization of marijuana. He fought against Colorado's Amendment 64, which legalized the use and sale of THC, and since the passage of that amendment he has devoted himself to demystifying the nefarious workings of the commercial marijuana industry, as he understands it.
